TRR San Diego thanks local kayak store, Aqua Adventures

For the last six years the San Diego TRR chapter has depended on a local kayak store, Aqua Adventures, to provide kayaks for our two monthly family-oriented flat water paddles on Mission Bay.

The events are held morning and afternoon on the same day and lately we have been putting typically 30-40 people on the water per day, counting both events. Over six years the total is over 800 person-days on the water. Jen Kleck, Aqua Adventures owner, and her entire staff have been totally supportive of our needs and always with a great attitude in spite of the fact they do a lot of extra work, primarily because they prefer to put the kayaks back in their racks to keep them organized the way they prefer.

They are the engine that makes these events possible, so we designed and presented an award to Jen in appreciation of her generosity and service to the program.

For this award, Dale Osborn wrote the text, Jamie Simon, one of the TRR San Diego local volunteer/graphic designers did the design using recycled glass, while Ashley Mullen and Lynne Warner made the presentation to Aqua Adventures.
