Read what TRR Means to our veterans and volunteers across the country!
TRR has been one of the best things my husband and I have been involved with! We absolutely love kayaking and are over the moon to be able to help veterans experience the joy of being on the water. It has been our honor to share our love for kayaking and cannot forget about all the wonderful veterans that have come out to our events and enjoyed it with us! We have made several new life long friends in doing so!

TRR is a great way to give back to our veterans for their selfless service and also a fun way to explore our local rivers and have fun in a kayak!

TRR provides a common interest to those who wish to kayak. This provides common core values of compassion, direction, leadership and comrade, which carries over from the military experience. TRR vision is clear and concise to it's members.

Love everything TRR stands for.

TRR has given me the ability to connect with like minded people. Veterans can sometimes struggle to fit in with " civilians". It also gave me a physical outlet for release of stress and everyday life.

My livelihood.
It's the thing I love most in this world

I have only had the opportunity to go on one kayaking trip, but it was very fun. It allowed me to experience kayaking again after having a life changing injury.

TRR got me outside again. Dealing with PTSD and Anxiety it has not been easy but very worth it!

An opportunity to continue to be a Team taking on challenges in another environment where you foster helping those who need it and also taking help to enhance yourself. A total Team culture that allows you to still be part of something great and adventurous outside of the military.

Team River Runner has allowed me to push my boundaries as an above knee amputee while building bonds of comradery with other Veterans and like minded paddlers.

I'm thankful for the training that TRR provided for my son. TRR helped me get nathan into whitewater paddling and being able to paddle with him has brought us closer.,

TRR has given me friendships and opportunities that I never imagined I would experience. Volunteering lets me give back to veterans who have sacrificed for their country.

I am a civilian volunteer but I have benefited from TRR as much as any veteran. By volunteering and helping others I have found purpose and meaning during troubling times in my life.

TRR gives me the freedom to get away from reality and to reset myself when needed.

Being a part of TRR has been such a positive, affirming experience for me, it's hard to imagine life without it, though I suppose this year many of us have had to live that way due to circumstances beyond our control. We must work together to make it through this successfully.

Opportunity to kayak with awesome guys and gals. Opportunity to share my love of kayaking.

Helps me with my PTSD

As a chapter of Team River Runner, I feel strongly about the opportunities that they provide to Veterans around the country! So much healing, confidence, skill, compassion, and community is built through TRR programs!

Spending time on the water is my happy place. Spending time with other vets and their families make it even more happy place
