Thank you for your interest in this year’s TRR National Conference! Registration will open early May and will be first come first serve with priority given to disabled veterans or members of the armed forces, VA therapists, and TRR volunteers (especially those in central/western regions). There will only be a total of 25 participants this year so space is limited and are expected to fill up quickly.
The 2020 TRR Adaptive Paddling Conference, August 20th –25th, will be held in McCall, Idaho
Participants are responsible for getting themselves to the Conference venue. All expenses beyond that are covered through Team River Runner: Lodging, Meals, Training, and Entertainment.
The Boise Airport is about a 2.5-hour drive to Pilgrim Cove. For those who plan to fly we will provide a shuttle to and from the airport. Organizers can also help pair participants with others who are renting vehicles.
For lodging we’re taking it back, waaay back, to those fun summer camp days that most of you recall fondly from childhood. We will be staying at the beautiful and serene Pilgrim Cove Camp & Conference Center. https://sites.google.com/pilgrimcovecamp.org/home
All the rooms/cabins have camp bunks in them which are a bit more narrow than twin beds.
In order to be considered for the ACA L2 Essentials of Kayak Touring Instructor Certification Workshop fundamentally, we expect that participants will have the paddling skills, technical knowledge, rescue ability, teaching ability, group management, and interpersonal skills commensurate with this level of certification prior to presenting themselves for evaluation by registering for this course.
